CodeHS is looking for a new college computer science graduate who is adventurous, creative, enjoys travel, loves connecting with people, but also shares a passion for computer science, tech, and education.

Why not road trip around the country for 6 months and help inspire K-12 students for computer science?!

Job Description

CodeHS is looking for an outgoing Computer Science Ambassador to help bring more computer science education to students and schools around the country. This is a 6-12 month contract role. Your primary responsibility will be to visit 100+ K-12 classrooms around the country to visit classrooms, run workshops, interact with students, meet educators, help promote CodeHS, and document your journey! You will be driving around in a CodeHS-branded vehicle. The role would begin with onboarding in the main headquarters office in Chicago. The target start date is between June - September 2024. 

Responsibilities

• Road trip around the country to visit schools and classrooms

• Run hands-on coding workshops for grades K-12 

• Send communication outreach to educators to plan classroom visits

• Organize travel schedule and logistics 

• Manage all follow up communication with after school visits

• Increase CodeHS brand awareness and recognition in the education space

• Work closely with the CodeHS social media content creator to document and share your journey in and outside of the classroom

• Collaborate with other CodeHS departments, such as sales, engineering, curriculum, and customer success, to align outreach efforts and visits

Requirements

• Recent college/university graduate 

• Experience with computer science/coding

• Flexible and adaptable

• Passionate about education

• Excellent communicator (written and verbal)

• Outgoing and social

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented

• Proficiency in documenting content for social media

• Excited about traveling around the country in a car!

This is a contract role.
